I met Susan a few years ago at one of her workshops. With Susan’s encouragement and helpful advice, I always felt good about what I accomplished in organizing my photos and creating albums.
Then a family tragedy occurred and two most beloved and cherished family members were killed in a car accident. Susan was among the first people I told about this, because I knew how she cared about others. I wanted to make a book about their lives. Though she was busy with her own personal life and her business, she put in extra time to work with me. She had me bring all my pictures to her home where she scanned them and put them into a file where I could use them. She then helped me start the book and showed me all the ways that I could modify and enhance my pictures. Many of them were very old. Once she had me confidently working on my book, I was able to go home to finish it.
I had a short time to finish the book and get it printed in time for the memorial service. Susan put a rush on the printing. Thanks to Susan, my books arrived in time.
From the first time I met Susan, I felt lucky to be a part of her life. She always makes those around her feel good about themselves. You knew that if she could help, she would be there for you. Susan is an inspiration to others. If I had to choose one word that most describes her, it is “a giver”.
Now that my life is getting on an even keel again, I am hoping that I can once again share some time with Susan doing something we both love – creating wonderful memories.
